Learn and deepen the German language
The BAMF integration course was developed to help you get started in Germany in an uncomplicated way and by teaching relevant content. For this reason, in most cases it is also funded by the Federal Office for Migration and Refugees (abbreviation: BAMF).
inlingua, your language school in Halle (Saale), competently supports you on this path. Learn the most important basics about the language, history and German law together with other participants so that you can quickly feel truly at home in Germany.
With a total of 700 teaching units, you will learn during a BAMF integration course how to use the German language confidently and without uncertainty in concrete everyday situations.
You will cover the following topics, among others:
- Shopping and living
- Leisure time and social contacts
- Work and profession
- The German health system and medical appointments
- Offices and authorities
The German integration course has two goals:
- On the one hand, the aim is to improve your German language skills so that you will soon be able to master everyday situations such as shopping, filling in forms or simply having a conversation with your neighbour without any problems.
- At the same time, the curriculum includes imparting important knowledge about Germany's values, culture and history. This will help you to find your way around your new home in Germany even faster and better. In short, you will be able to integrate and make contacts more quickly!
Divided into two parts, your integration course consists of a language course and a subsequent orientation course.
In the first part, the language course, you and your fellow students concentrate fully on learning important vocabulary and grammar.
The language course is further divided into the basic and the advanced language course.
In the total of 600 teaching units (UE), you will deal with authentic topics from everyday life.
You will then be able to:
- write letters or emails in German,
- find a new flat on your own or
- apply for a job.
You have already successfully completed the language course? Congratulations!
You are now qualified to attend the second part of your BAMF integration course: the orientation course.
This comprises 100 teaching units (UE) and provides you with basic knowledge about life in Germany.
In teaching useful everyday knowledge, the focus is on these questions, among others:
- What do I need to know about the German legal system?
- What important events are part of German history and culture?
- What is the importance of values such as tolerance or equal rights for men and women in Germany?
- What rights, but also what obligations, do I have when I live in Germany?

Do you want to start learning German from scratch? Or have you already had German lessons once in your school days, but don't know how much you can really remember? No problem!
Before you start your BAMF integration course, we will conduct a placement test with you.
This is completely free of charge and without obligation for you.
The result shows you and us exactly where you start linguistically. This way we can be sure to choose the right module for you.
In this way, you can get off to a successful start with your German course in Halle (Saale).
The German state offers people interested in learning German a variety of options for financial support for different language courses.
This includes the BAMF integration course. This means that under certain conditions you can attend either free of charge or at least at a reduced rate.
If you have an entitlement or obligation from the Foreigners‘ Registration Office, the BAMF or the Job Centre, participation is free of charge for you if you receive housing benefit or benefits according to SGB II / SGB III or SGB XII.
If you have an obligation or entitlement to attend the BAMF integration course and are also already employed in Germany, you only pay €2.20 per teaching unit to attend.
This means that you will incur costs of 220.00 € per module, which consists of 100 teaching units (UE). The entire integration course, however, comprises 600 teaching units (UE).
Every participant who is not entitled or obliged to attend must pay the costs of the integration course himself/herself.
These costs amount to 440.00 €, whereby one module consists of 100 teaching units (UE) and the entire BAMF integration course comprises 600 teaching units (UE).
